Insight into the hydration evolution of cement

  • sample is sandwiched between two Si3N4 windows
  • highly diluted samples (ratio water/cement is 5 before centrifugation)
  • Imaging starts within 6 minutes after mixing, under atmospheric pressure and room temperature
  • evolution is followed for several hours
